Altar Guild | St. Paul's Beaufort

Altar Guild is a ministry of St. Paul's and works behind the scenes. We have monthly teams of 3-4 people who work together to prepare the church for all services. We meet on Saturday morning to set up for the Sunday services. We care for the vestments, linens and vessels by washing, ironing and polishing. Altar Guild switches out the hangings to the liturgical color for the season. Altar Guild also prepares for special services including weddings, funerals and baptisms as well as Easter and Christmas. Altar flowers are given each week by parishioners or friends of the church and the Altar Guild delivers them weekly after the services with direction from the Rector.

We as Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. St. Paul's is part of the Episcopal Church, a church that is both rich with ancient tradition and relevant to life in the 21st century. We believe that God loves you - no exceptions.
